The original LRC website launched just over a year ago and a lot has changed since then.
We’ve more than quadrupled our team, expanded our services and began working on a ton of exciting new client work – from NGOs and tech start-ups to Fortune 500 companies and leaders. We decided it was time to give Lloyd Rang Communications a refresh and we’re excited to share how far we’ve come over the past year!
Same philosophy, same incredible writing chops, better defined.
What started as a one-man show has expanded to a team of six. With this growth came new talent, new capabilities, new personalities and new ideas. The great thing about working for a leader who encourages us to be true to ourselves, is that we all get to shape our direction as an agency. Which, by the time we reached a half dozen or so, led us to take a deeper look at who we are as a company and what sets us apart.
That led us to our first annual retreat.
Four weeks ago, we convened our team in downtown Toronto near Bay & Adelaide with a lot of Starbucks coffee and two things on our minds: how to better define who we are now — and why we do what we do.
I won’t go into too much detail on the latter, you can read more about that in Lloyd’s blog post, here. But I can tell you that after a good deal of talking there were a lot of common themes that are reflected in this new website. For example, we want you to know who we are and why we do what we do.
Why.
We are a group of award-winning, talented individuals who share a common goal — to use our talents to make a positive difference in the world. We are fuelled by a shared passion for issues management, plain English, storytelling, social communications — great coffee — and a shared vision of bringing a political staff/ public service work ethic, good judgement and strong sense of accountability to our agency work.
How.
We are all about “words that get people talking” and we have a very long hashtag to that effect. To understand more about our creative process click here — and to read about how authenticity plays an important role in our promise to “make you sound like you only better,” check out my colleague James’ blog post here.
We attentively listen.
We fearlessly advise.
We relentlessly execute.
And, did I mention, we’re passionate about our work?
Who.
It seems like the more work we do and the more places we go, the more incredible people and clients we keep meeting…
Which means we keep growing!
Today, we’re proud to introduce you to the new faces that have joined our team, here. These are the people that have helped make our team better, smarter, and more capable.
That’s why, today, LRC specializes in narrative development, content creation, speechwriting, digital storytelling, social media strategy, writing workshops and training. You can learn more about what we do, here.
We also discussed whether we should shorten our company name: Lloyd Rang Communications, given that we are a bigger bunch, now.
In any case, our friends call us LRC, and so can you.
Our Clients.
Probably one of the most exciting parts of our new website has been adding a section to demonstrate the kind of organizations that trust us to do amazing work. You can learn more about who we work with –and what people and organizations recommend us, here.
We’ve also added testimonials to our home page so that you can get a sense of how capable we are. You know — from someone other than ourselves.
Let’s Connect.
Finally, we have launched this new blog. You can also follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Building a blog and maintaining a consistent social media presence is something that we’ve been wanting to do for a while but always struggled to make it happen while balancing client work and growth. Kind of like how the best mechanic on the block might drive around with a noisy muffler.
So, there you have it! We hope you’ve had a chance to browse and enjoy the new experience.
Lloyd is happier these days seeing more than just his face and the LRC logo on our contact page. But let us know what you think — after all, it’s all about you. Do you like it? Or, how can we make it better? We always want to know how we can improve.
And of course, we always want to know more about you. What are you working on? How can we help you?
Let’s talk. You can reach me at sandra@lloydrang.com
Stay tuned – follow us on social to receive our blog posts, news and updates!
